The Mont Blanc Tour

The tour takes approximately 10 days and offers outdoor fun for both, novice and experienced hikers. Subject to the seasons and climatic conditions, the mountain tour demands careful preparation.

Choice of the appropriate period: In June, you will encounter only a few hikers. Many lodgings are closed, some of the spots are still snow-covered. July offers splendid meadows in blossom and the number of hikers increases. August is a very crowded month. September is calmer, some lodges are already closing. October is the month of the « solitaries », but also the period of gorgeous colours, clear blue skies, and absolute tranquillity.

Except for the trails in the floor of the valley, the routes of the Mont Blanc tour are entirely marked with GR (long national path) signs coloured in red and white that indicate the mountain paths in Switzerland.
